About The Course

Participants will leave this course with the skills and confidence needed to incorporate this popular modality safely into their daily practice. During this 8-hour in-person class, massage therapists will learn how to safely heat, clean, and store their hot stone therapy equipment. Therapists can look forward to a detailed review of all contraindications and safety precautions needed to work safely with hot stones. A large portion of the class will include hands-on practise with a partner to gain the practical skills needed to confidently incorporate hot stone therapy into an effective massage therapy treatment plan. At the conclusion of the course, therapists will have confidence that they have full coverage under their professional liability insurance to incorporate hot stones into their practise. Participants will not be required to complete additional practicum hours in order to receive their certification in hot stone therapy following the in-person class.
